About Victoria
Victoria Hansen is an award winning, freelance consultant, producer and multimedia presenter with specific expertise in food and cooking. With a diploma in Food Education from the University of Western Sydney, Victoria taught Home Economics before moving into the commercial sector and eventually media.
Her achievements include...
- More than 25 years experience in presenting, (including over 1000 hours of live TV) with TVSN
- Between 2000 and 2003 she co-produced and presented the daily Woolworths “Fresh Today" segments on Channels 7 and 9
- In 2003 she self published and released her first cookbook “First Principles - The Basic Cooking Handbook", of which 100,000 copies have sold nationally.
- Between 2003 and 2007 she was a regular presenter on Sydney's Radio 2GB, with two weekly segments, ‘Victoria's Kitchen' and ‘The Radio Kitchen'.
- As well as her consulting work, she also currently produces and presents BiteSize Cooking®, a series of Radio and Television segments. The radio vignettes air nationally on metro and regional radio stations and the TV segments aired on WIN Regional Television Network, until January 2009.
- She consults to a number of leading Australian companies on online marketing, product development, consumer education and media production.
- She plays an active role in the food industry in both paid and volunteer positions.
- She has been invited to judge several food industry awards.
- She is the webmaster for the Australian Association of Food Professionals
- She has been recognised by her peers in the Food Industry, winning two Food Media Awards for radio.
