Flaked Salt
Flaked salt is much lighter by volume than granulated salt. As an example, a cup of flaked salt weighs about half of what a cup of granulated (table or sea) salt. This is why it tends to be healthier. The flaked shape gives more surface coverage and as a result requires less. It's the salt of choice for cooking in my house. When I serve salt at the table, I use Murray River Flaked Salt. You can't put flaked salt into a salt shaker though because the flakes are too wide, just serve it in a small bowl for people to pinch as much as they require.
